HoHoHo...I'm So Excited

Merry Christmas. How excited am I with this awesome Christmas present from Grant. He saw me looking at these last month and knew I would not spend allot of money on myself to get them.I only bought six individual colours then.Anyway he bookmarked the site and got them for me for Christmas.I don't know how to use them yet and other then look at the gorgeous spread of colours I'm a bit nervous to try.I was the same about my Golden paints and now I use them all the time.Maybe I can use them on my new drawing...

We have had a lovely Christmas day together here(though HOT and humid) and I hope all you out in blog land have as well.

What a scrumptious present, Annette! I have a few of these - fun to play with like watercolours, and very creamy too.

Have a wonderful Christmas!

Woohoo Annette, fantastic gift. It is a bit daunting looking at all those crayons isn't it. I still don't know what to do with mine - so if you have any tips, please let me know, hehe.

Well, I *was* going to refer to you a page on my blog where I'd described my comparisons of Neocolor crayons to Stampin' Up crayons, which I'd tried out on two different types of watercolour paper. But it seems it's in my journal, but not on the blog. There's a page about watercolour pencils... that's probably what I was thinking of.
You certainly use them like the Portfolio colours (I have them too) but they are not as "oily" and bright (don't you love the pink!). I used the Neocolors on real water colour paper, for colouring in stamps, and the effect was really nice - I got some of the "real" watercolour look (you know what I mean). Sooooo nice. Not for vigorous smooshing all over though - they are too precious for that.

What a fabulous present, so thoughtful of Grant.
I am looking forward to seeing your experiments with them Annette, I have a small set and find the colours to be incredibly vivid. I am not much of a colouring in type but love make washes for backgrounds. Might have to dig them out and try playing too.
